Skill Development Centres: Our Skill Development Centres offer a diverse range of practical skills. From culinary arts to woodworking, students can acquire hands-on expertise that prepares them for various vocations and life beyond the classroom. These hubs of learning are designed to provide students with holistic educational experiences, encouraging them to explore their interests and passions while acquiring valuable skills and knowledge.
There are six skill development centres (SDC's) in school.

Skill Development Centre 1-Electronics and Carpentry:
SDC 1 is the hub where innovation and craftsmanship merge seamlessly. This centre is a haven for electronics enthusiasts and budding carpenters. Here, students embark on a journey of technical discovery, mastering the intricacies of electronics and honing their woodworking skills. Equipped with the latest electronic components and a fully stocked carpentry workshop, SDC 1 empowers students to bring their creative ideas to life.

SDC 2 - Art & Craft:
The venue of SDC 2 is near the staircase-5. (In front of Daffodils) The students will be trained in various techniques of art and painting by the expert trainer. They will also be given training in making artifacts and will be provided the platform to exhibit their art work.

SDC 3 - Sandipani - Performing Arts:
SDC 3, lovingly known as "Sandipani", serves as the stage for personal growth and self-discovery. This open and welcoming space features a small gallery, accommodating up to 50 individuals. Adorning the walls are inspiring posters showcasing Indian musicians, theatre artists, and luminaries from the Indian Renaissance. SDC 3 is where students develop essential life skills, build self-confidence, and nurture their personalities, preparing them to shine on any stage of life.

SDC 4 - Artificial Intelligence & Coding:
SDC 4 is the gateway to the digital world. This centre is designed for students to delve into the realm of Information Technology. Equipped with cutting-edge computers, software, and resources, SDC 4 prepares students for the dynamic field of IT. It's here that they learn coding, explore software development, and gain a deep understanding of the digital landscape, setting the stage for successful careers in technology.

SDC 5 - Batik, Tie & Dye, Embroidery and Tailoring.
The students are trained to make different patterns in embroidery. Adequate patience and focus is required for making eye catching embroidery. By giving training in Tie and Dye and Batik, the extinguishing art forms can be revived. Tailoring skills are basic life skills that every child should know to become self- reliant. Hence, OPJS shoulders this responsibility to train students in these creative skills, hence opening a new pathway for them into creativity.

SDC 6 - Music Lab and Dance Lab:
SDC 6 is a harmonious blend of rhythm and movement. It is divided into two parts, each offering a unique artistic experience. The Music Lab boasts a spacious area with state-of-the-art sound systems and equipment, creating the perfect environment for musical exploration. Meanwhile, the Dance Lab provides a dedicated space for students to express themselves through dance, with the same high-quality sound systems and props. Here, an idol of Goddess Saraswati stands as a symbol of inspiration. SDC 6 celebrates the arts, nurturing the talents of young musicians and dancers, fostering creativity and self-expression.
